Suspect Kills Florida Man, Flees Scene of Pedestrian Accident
The death of a loved one is difficult for anyone, especially if the death was unexpected. For the family of a Florida man who was killed in a pedestrian accident, their grief was burdened by the knowledge that someone had hit him with a car and then left him lying in the road.
The accident occurred on Monday around 7:30 in the evening. The man was hit in the road and though he was injured, the car drove away. He died at the scene of the accident. Police began an investigation to determine the identity of the hit-and-run driver.
After news of the hit-and-run began to circulate, someone came forward and gave the police information about a possible suspect. Following that lead, the police arrested a young man and brought in his car to determine if he had hit the victim. At this point the young man has only been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
With the investigation ongoing, there is no information as to why the young man hit the victim in the first place. Speculations could be made as to whether he had been under the influence of drugs or alcohol or had simply been negligent while he was driving. So many people are distracted by their cell phones that they sometimes fail to pay attention while they drive.
Despite the reason behind why this fatal accident happened, the victim’s family will always deal with the loss of a loved one. Not only are they emotionally distraught, but they are also faced with concerns such as funeral costs. Additionally, if the victim had a wife and children, they may have relied on him to provide financially for them.
It is a lot to deal with, especially when the victim’s family just wants to mourn their loss. At least the family now has an answer to their biggest question of who is responsible for killing their loved one.
