Brakes causing problems for GM vehicles

Brakes causing problems for GM vehicles

Cars are necessary forms of transportation for many Miami residents. We need vehicles to get us to our jobs, see our families, go to the store, church, etc. Most car manufacturers understand the importance of safety when they build their cars and make sure their cars are safe. Unfortunately, sometimes there are automobile design defects that result in unexpected accidents and injuries.

Safety investigators are investigating allegations of GM vehicles that are unexpectedly having trouble braking. Over 100 complaints from consumers about GMC trucks and SUVs, including the popular Chevrolet Silverado have emerged. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the problem comes from a power brake vacuum pump that can degrade and make it difficult to stop. The agency reports there have already been 9 crashes related to these brake problems. The investigation includes the Chevrolet Silverado along with the Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra, Yukon and the Escalade. The vehicles have not been recalled yet and GM is monitoring the investigation.

An unexpected accident because of a faulty vehicle can be a scary situation. These accidents can be serious, with victims suffering injuries that can last them the rest of their lives. They can also be out of work for a long period of time and accumulate thousands of dollars in medical expenses. If a person believes they have been in an accident due to a faulty vehicle, they may want to speak with a legal professional who is skilled in products liability. An attorney can investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident and help determine what happened to cause the accident. They can hold the manufacturer accountable for their design flaws. Compensation may be available for medical expenses, future medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering and other damages.

An unexpected accident can affect a family for many years. It is important to hold negligent automobile manufacturers accountable for their mistakes so that others are not injured.
