No one expects their loved one will be the victim of a construction site accident. Unfortunately, these accidents can occur at any time and can be devastating for families who rely on their loved one’s income. It is important to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident and determine what happened and who is at fault. Workers’ compensation issues may arise, along with potential negligence claims against the companies involved. Compensation may be available for lost wages, medical expenses, funeral expenses and other damages.
A serious workplace accident can affect an entire family. A worker’s income is important to a family and it is important for families to know that they may have the legal right to hold an employer responsible for negligence in a lawsuit.
