Governmental Torts; An Overview
In the long history of Kurzban Kurzban Tetzeli & Pratt, P.A., our attorneys have never been afraid of any opponent. On behalf of our clients, we have sued the state of Florida, the Florida Highway Patrol, the Florida Marine Patrol, Governor Jeb Bush, Attorney General Janet Reno, the United States federal government and more, in cases ranging from a personal injury in a public facility to police brutality actions.
Our Attorneys Take On Any Opponent
We not only can stand up to anyone, but we can also get results: The federal government once handed us a check for $11 million.
We won an $800,000 settlement from the Department of Transportation for its role in the death of a 35-year-old woman. The woman was killed by another driver who swerved to avoid a ladder that had been improperly secured by a Department of Transportation driver. We also gained a $500,000 settlement from the city of Hialeah, Dade County, and their public works sub-contractors. The sub-contractors pierced a water pipe and flooded the roads. As a result, a pedestrian was hit by an out-of-control automobile, causing cognitive injuries.
Kurzban Kurzban Tetzeli & Pratt, P.A., is well-known for providing aggressive, effective representation in the most high-profile of cases. We believe the reason for our success is the attentive, careful treatment we give every case. Every client deserves the close attention of our experienced attorneys. We don’t take cases that we don’t believe in, and our lawyers regularly put the firm’s reputation on the line.
