
Clayton Oates, Esq.

About
Clayton is an immigration associate who joined the firm in August 2024. Clayton focuses on a wide array of immigration cases ranging from family-based immigration benefits to litigation in federal court. Clayton is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of law. In law school, Clayton was part of the Human Rights Clinic as a student intern and clinical fellow, where he documented human rights abuses faced by individuals deported to Haiti and advocated for the rights of Haitian migrants before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Human Rights Committee of the United Nations. Clayton was also a member of the International Moot Court Program, participating in the 3rd Annual Sports Arbitration Moot in Madrid, Spain. Clayton is a New Jersey native and is admitted to practice law in New York. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Clayton graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish.
